Matteo Luti

immagineMatteo Luti graduated from the Università di Pisa in Romance Philology with a thesis concerning the relationship between historiography and fiction in the twelfth-century Anglo-Norman ‘Romans d’Antiquité.

Currently he is a PhD student at the Università degli Studi di Siena, working on th
e manuscript tradition of the Italian translation of Albertanus Brixiensis’s Moral Treatises made by Andrea da Grosseto in the thirteenth century.  His work will provide a new critical edition, since the only complete edition of these texts was provided by F. Selmi in 1873, based on a single manuscript.

For the DEMM Programme, he will explore the manuscript tradition of La dottrina del parlare e del tacere, one of Albertanus’s Treatises, in order to provide a digital critical edition of the text.
