P1080422 (Kopie)Having pursued studies in medieval and modern history, auxiliary sciences of history, and prehistoric archaeology in Marburg and Florence, and medieval and modern history, auxiliary sciences of history and medieval Latin at Cologne, I have started my PhD at the university of Düsseldorf.  This has later turned into a cotutelle de thèse together with the university Lumière Lyon 2, more precisely the CIHAM.

One part of the thesis is the edition of the cardinals testaments of the fourteenth century, the Avignon papacy. In this regard I extend the edition of the Duecento-Cardinals by Agostino Paravicini Bagliani into the ‹Babylonian captivity› of the papacy.
